Traditional: Made myself a paper star garland for my room. I’ve always loved glow in the dark stars but they wouldn’t work in my current room, so this sparked an idea to make a paper star garland. I made various sizes of stars out of various yellow paper, used gold jump rings to attach the stars to hemp string. Fairly easy to make, took me no longer than 3 hrs from start to finish.
And ugh, sorry for the horrible picture quality. There isn’t much light in my room and my camera is definitely lacking. I’ll eventually get my hands on a DSLR one of these days and hopefully crappy quality photos will be a thing of the past.
Traditional: Newest birthday card-deviated from the cupcake theme due to bike idea which made me want to experiment with a bunch of stuff that I’ve been thinking about but haven’t tried. Some things worked, while others didn’t, but still happy with how it turned out. And yes, the wheels on the bike totally move :D
Card about 3 inches wide, 6 inches tall. And safe to upload b/c I’m fairly sure the person this is going to doesn’t know of my tumblr.

Traditional: Another “DOG PROM”crowd background, for the sake of uploading SOMETHING. Darn finals and internship apps, I just want to work on my film and draw my own stuff. *pouty* Such is life at the moment.
Traditional: Sequential life drawing from class. 1st was a series of 1 min poses, the second set was a series of 30 sec poses.
Figured I could upload a few since I never upload stuff from class. Sad it’s kinda over for awhile.

I think what my friend here means is that we will never not not be over Chris Fucking Goodwin. He’s so awesome that he commands quadruple-negatives and quintuple positives. If any ONE of these styles was his style he would be crushing jive turkeys by the baker’s dozen, but they are ALL his style and he has like a googleplex more. Never not my favorite artist.
I rarely reblog tumblr posts-but since I saw this last week, it’s been on my mind every single day. Both such a great, “simple” concept and so brilliantly executed. Such clear communication beyond the words written, I’m in love.
Traditional: Quickish dog sketches…I feel like I need to rename my tumblr to “all I draw is dogs”. Woof. :)

Memory Sketch-Been seeing a lot of obese, middle-age folk wearing hello kitty garb this week (I don’t know why all of a sudden). This guy takes the cake.

Traditional: Start of many non-moving crowd background for my first year film here at good old UCLA-“DOG PROM”.
If they weren’t dogs, not sure I’d be enjoying making these quite as much. The tricky thing is not to draw a similar type breed and/or same freaking pose because I do that when I stop thinking.

Paper Art: Another birthday card (I’ll only be uploading my faves from now on cause some have been lackluster). For an old and dear friend who just moved from Minnesota to Maine to start a new job-which is why I choose the moose theme :)
As always with these cards, the inside says “Hope your birthday is SWEET!” and on the back, the cupcake flavor is customized to the flavor preferences of the birthday boy/girl.
And of course-sent via my handmade envelopes with my art on it-this time some ancient boards.
Animation: Worked on a scene from my 1st yr film, “DOG PROM” for Falling Lizard (UCLA animation tradition thing). Actually liking how things are coming along and thus, having more and more fun as I work on my film. This has never happened before and I’m just waiting for things to turn, cause it will inevitably happen. But for now, relishing in the joy that is “DOG PROM”
